The Robert F. Gilley Recording Studio is a state-of-the-art recording studio. Under the direction of Mr. Scott Wynne, the studio operates as both a learning facility for Music Industry Studies students and professional recording facility for faculty and students, as well as local musicians.
The studio's primary control room (Studio A) features a Sony DMX-R100 digital console, Nuendo 3.0, and Dynaudio M3 loudspeakers. With alternate Yamaha and Tannoy monitors (not shown), Control A can be easily configured for 5-channel surround.
The studio is capable of recording, importing and exporting all major digital file formats (WAV, BWAV, SDII and AIFF). Tascam DTRS, DAT and ADAT-XT tape formats are also supported. Sony P-2 machine control and full SMPTE sync capabilities facilitate audio-for-video recording, editing and mixing.

Members of the project included Kevin Dailey, Michael Gregory, Miles Price, John Morris, Daniel Shearin, and Professor Scott Wynne. The team worked on an original song composed by member Kevin Dailey and orchestrated by John Morris titled You and The Moon and included performances by the Appalachian Symphony Orchestra conducted by Professor James Anderson.
