Mariam Cannon Hayes Graduate String Quartet

Now accepting applications for the 2008-2009:

Four Graduate Assistantships (2 violins, and 1 cello) of $7,000 each will be awarded.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Music degree or equivalent; evidence of exceptional performance ability; admission to the Cratis Williams Graduate School at Appalachian State University

• Application Process: Two Completed applications due May 1, 2008.

3. Personal audition by June 1, 2008

• Date of appointment: August 2008

• Opportunities: Principal positions in the University Orchestra; solo and chamber performances; representing the School of Music throughout the state and region

The Hayes School of Music at Appalachian State University is comprised of 475 music majors, 42 full time faculty, 15 part time faculty, and 16 graduate assistants. The Hayes School of Music offers the Master of Music degree in performance, music education and music therapy and is fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music.
