University Singers - Dr. Stephen M. Hopkins, Conductor
The University Singers enrolls approximately 60 voices on the basis of audition. The ensemble performs fine choral literature of all periods.

Chamber Singers

A select group of 16-20 voices, the Chamber Singers specialize in the performance of choral chamber literature of all periods.
Men's Glee Club

Men's Glee Club is open to all students capable of and interested in singing literature for tenor, baritone, and bass voices. This entertaining ensemble performs several times each semester.

Treble Choir

Treble Choir is open to all students capable of and interested in singing literature for soprano, mezzo-soprano, and alto voices. This entertaining ensemble performs several times each semester . Treble Choir Webpage
Appalachian Chorale
Dr. Joby Bell, Conductor The Appalachian Chorale is a large choral ensemble open to all students, faculty, and members of the High Country community. It serves as a choral outlet for any interested singer who can carry his or her part in four-part harmony. Rehearsals strive toward excellence while maintaining a convivial atmosphere of musical fulfillment. The Chorale presents a major choral work in concert on the last Tuesday evening of each semester and also hosts the annual Messiah Singalong on the Sunday during Exam Week of the fall semester.
The Appalachian Chorale celebrated its 30th Anniversary during the 2005-2006 school year.
Music Director Joby Bell is University Organist and Assistant Professor of Music. He teaches organ and harpsichord and coordinates the sacred music curriculum.
Opera Workshop
Dr. Joseph L. Amaya, Conductor A select group of singers, the Opera Workshop designs, plans, and produces a musical production or opera scenes each semester.
Jazz Vocal Ensemble

The Hayes School of Music's newest select vocal ensemble provides a showcase for those interested in cultivating the specialized musical and vocal skills required for the jazz style. Improvisation is emphasized.
Gospel Choir

A large vocal ensemble that is open to all students interested in singing literature drawn from the black religious experience in performances that reflect that ethnic background. |
