Audition Request Form

Students who wish to pursue a degree from the Hayes School of Music must audition before members of the appropriate applied music faculty for acceptance into the music program. The five audition dates in 2008 are as follows:

  • January 19 (vocal area is full)
  • January 26 (vocal area is full)
  • February 9 (percussion area is full)
  • February 23
  • March 29 (vocal area is full)

If you are unavailable on these days, then you may request an individual audition date with the appropriate applied faculty member.

*Hayes Young Artist Scholarship Audition

Participants in the Hayes Young Artist Competition will be selected from the first four audition dates. Participants will be invited to return to campus for the scholarship competition on Saturday, March 29, 2008. This competition will run concurrently with other non-scholarship auditions.

Outstanding students majoring in music will be selected to receive other music scholarships based on performance ability, the programmatic needs of the Hayes School of Music, and official admittance to the University. - all areas (vocal area is full, please select another date)
- all areas (vocal area is full, please select another date)
- vocal, guitar and percussion only (percussion area is full, please select another date)
- instrumental only; woodwinds, brass, keyboard, & strings excluding guitar
- all areas, entrance only (no scholarship consideration, except for Hayes Young Artist Scholaship Participants) (vocal area is full)

Please contact the appropriate applied teacher to schedule an alternate date.
Prospective Music Therapy and Theory/Composition majors must also schedule an entrance interview.
