Instructions for setting up Valid Access for the Ricoh MP7001 Copier
For PC users to print to the Ricoh-MP7001 copier, you will have to set your valid access code in the printing preferences. Again, this is only for PC users and the valid access code is the same code you use when you make copies at the copier. If you do not setup this code you will not be able to print to the copier from your office.
1. Go to START and select printers and faxes on your computer.

2. Right click on the HSOM-Ricoh-MP7001-Office icon and select Properties.

3. Selct Printing Preferences at the bottom of the screen that opens after selecting Properties.

4. Click the Valid Access Tab, enter your code in User Code, leave other blank and click Apply at bottom.

After you click Apply and close the window you should be able to print to the Ricoh copier.

How to setup Ricoh copier for LOCKED PRINT so that you can release the print at the copier
1. Click on Start and select Printers and Faxes. Right click on the MP7001 copier icon and select properties. Then click on Printing Preferences.

2. Under the Setup tab you will see a drop down menu for Job Type. The default is set to Normal - which releases the print right away, but if you select Locked Print you can set a password and release the print when you are at the copier. Select Locked Print.

3. After selecting Locked Print click on Details and enter your user ID and create a password number that you will use to release your print job at the copier.

This will setup all your print jobs to the Ricoh copier to be released with a password. At the copier, press printer button. On the touch screen press Printer Jobs, then select Locked Print Job List. Your print job should appear in a list with your username. Select your print job and select print - the screen will change for you to enter your password number that you created. The document will print and be deleted from the list. Click exit.
TURNING ON HOLE PUNCH AND STAPLE FEATURE
If you are printing to the Ricoh copier from your PC Computer and wish to enable the staple or hole punch you will have to activate the Finisher for the copier in your setup. Go to Printer and Faxes and right click on the Ricoh copier and select properties. Click the Accessories Tab and uncheck Copy Tray and check FInisher SR4040 and then for Punch Unit select 2 and 3 holes US. Now the hole punch and staple ability is now selectable.
